Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Job Description: Cassidy Coates Price is seeking an experienced, proactive Litigation Paralegal to join our law practice in our Greenville, SC office. The team the paralegal is to join focuses primarily on medical malpractice defense. The candidate should have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, be detail oriented, and have the ability to handle a large volume of work.
Responsibilities:
- Organize litigation files (both physical and electronic files using document management software)
- Must enter time for billable tasks and be comfortable with reasonable billing expectations
- Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously with clients, court personnel, other attorneys/staff
- Familiarity with e-filing systems in state and federal courts
- Responsible for opening and closing file procedures and managing conflict-of-interest checks
- Must be able to perform litigation tasks including:
- Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of a wide range of pleadings, motions and discovery
- Edit and finalize reports and correspondence
- Prepare medical chronologies
- Transcribe dictation
- Schedule and manage calendars and deadlines
- Assist in preparation for trial (assembly of exhibits, trial binders, court filings)

- Proficiency in WORD, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and other document management software
